7 Troughs Mining District Day Trip

Day trip to Tunnel Camp and the 7 Troughs mining district with Sierra Nevada Full Size Jeep Club. Highlights include the ghost town of Tunnel Camp, the town site of Vernon, the town site of 7 Troughs, and the town site of Mazuma. There are also large herds of wild Burros in the area. Picnic lunch at Tunnel camp then 2-3 hours circle trail past the 3 other town sites and numerous mining ruins. 4x4 and off road tires required, stock height vehicles might scrape a little in some spots but nothing difficult. Bring layers, it will likely be chilly as the afternoon wears on. Come along to see some great Nevada scenery and history with some old jeeps!
