Salisbury Plains Off Roading Meet Up

An off roading and camping weekend over Salisbury plain - in conjunction with the Overland Adventure Club.

Nik provisionally booked ten non-electric spots, however electric hookup is available, plus tin tents (caravans) are allowed and there are several units of apartments and camping type pods.

Open fires (in raised containers like a Bush Pig) are allowed.

The OAC will be bringing their event shelter for communal location.

Salisbury Plain contains, literally, hundreds of miles of green lanes. You can spend days here and not see the same lane twice. Some of the views across the plains are stunning.

Eight laning routes of varying length will be mapped out and supplied. All have been completed by a basically stock Discovery 3 with A/T tyres.

All the routes will loop round to the campsite so you can drop in and out of a group at your leisure.

One route goes right past Stonehenge, another goes past a specially constructed German village that the British Army use for FIBUA training plus a "compound" from the Afghanistan conflict.

Do not be surprised at waiting at a bye way junction as a squadron of tanks passes by!

The area is vast mind, so you can easily create your own!
