Our Team Viking Hauling Finished the most recent Silver State 300 with only 1 flat tire. No mechanical issues ….We’re still in shock But happy to finish….
My name’s Albert. I drive a 2012 Range Rover and I love taking it wherever the wind (or dirt road) leads me—whether it’s camping, hunting, or just exploring off the beaten path. Excited to be part of this group and looking forward to learning, sharing, and connecting with fellow adventurers!
As part of my ‘Grand Tour’ I’m at Malaucéne (Fr) where I joined my old-buddy Wilke who organised ‘Tour du ALS’ @ Mont Mentoux. Obviously I donated as did many other to ‘fix’ his and others ALS.
…. A few days and I’ll be crossing the border to Germany…for the next venue and romantic routes
My 2003 V8 4Runner “Silver” died a hard death, long live my 2004 V8 LX470 “Bruiser the Cruiser.”
I installed a snorkel today, after returning from a kid-friendly camping trip. Next up; wheels, tires, sliders, front and rear bumper, roof rack, diff breathers, and many many more miles…
The weather in Oklahoma has been crazy with the severe storms. Makes wrenching on Elvira a slow process. A few more drivetrain items to update and fluids to change before starting on the camper buildout.
Wishing everyone a fabulous day.
Counting down to summer departure! I’m finishing several projects - a removable mesh curtain for the trailer door to keep the bugs out and a roof rack mounting frame for the Jackery solar panel.
Good evening Overlanders!
It’s been a busy few weeks of playing catchup along with some minor repairs on Elvira. Right now,I’m still trying to find a shop that will drill out a busted bolt in the manifold exhaust flange. It’s a little tight working area but five muffler shops I called wouldn’t touch it. And my drill set kinda needs help. Lol
Been a long time since I have been on this page. I've moved to Horseshoe Bend, Ar and now have a 2015 Tacoma TRD OR. It's in the progress of being built up for overlanding. My 14 was totaled. I am no longer hosting Rigs&Coffee events in May Home, Ar. since we've moved. Catch you all on the trail
At disperse campsite on Piedra river in San Juan National Forest. Epic camp spot found a bit by chance. Went for hike to Piedra Falls and the site was at trail head. As my wife said, Happy Accident.
Another successful run in the books!
My homemade bedrack held up beautifully, the rig performed well, I got to test out some new recovery equipment, and figured out some organizational challenges I was experiencing.
