It's set for 7:30pm... but I'll try to get there for 7.

Forecast is showing a high of 13 and sunny... a beautiful spring day!

I'll try to be there for 7pm in the parking lot if anyone wants to come a bit early and talk rigs before we move it inside.
 
For the next meet I would like to have it outside somewhere and have a hot dog roast or something similar.

If anyone has any ideas on where to go we can discuss that on Thursday.

What about a picnic area in Assiniboine Park? It’s a fantastic idea! We will likely not be there for that meetup since we’ll be on our first big road trip of the year.

Tonight is Game 7 for the Jets (Go Jets Go!).

If it's too busy at Pony Corral I can host in my garage (heated) and stream the game onto the TV there....
as well as shoot the crap with y'all about Overlanding :D
 
We're parked behind the Mosaic event centre.
We have a few long tables and a few of us are inside already to ensure we keep those tables.

I'm hanging outside until MixedNuts gets here.
I hear he has a nice rack I want to check out. Lol

It was great to meet the group last night! Feels alot less of a typical "car club" and alot more like a bunch of friends sharing their passion for overlanding. Looking forward to that next bbq meet!

We'll have to wait a bit for the fire bans to be lifted. I'm just digging around various sites to check out whether Birds Hill is on the fire ban or not. Since it's a Provincial Park it may have different restrictions.
 
If not Birds hill we could try La Barrier Park off of waverly along the La Salle river, super nice spot. or Beaudry park west of headingly.
I do vote for a Saturday after noon rather than a weekday evening. I've also been interested in checking out the Transcona BioReserve off of Gunn Rd.
 
My thoughts on location would be a quiet area... large parking lot... and a firepit of some sorts.

Worst case scenario regarding the fire bans would be me bringing my portable bbq... I would rather not though ;)

Just because I like a fire :D
