A product called split loom , get marine or auto quality, some is thin and will degrade in heat and sun.. It really makes the job look professional.

I have used a very similar product for the custom wiring on my street bikes and my trucks for years without issue. If I have an area where I am concerned about excessive abrasion or exposure I will double cover with the outer layer being either a stainless or brass braided wire sleeve. I source a good deal of my electrical need from https://www.wirecare.com/ It may be overkill for a lot of my stuff but as I don't like wiring in the first place once its done I don't want to have to mess with it again.
