What part of northern Cali are you from?

Hello everyone,
My name is Alex and I'm in San Jose, CA.

Currently have a 2019 4Runner, which I've taken off road hunting in the Mendocino National Forest, but am looking to get a 100 series Land Cruiser to build into an Overland Rig with the ultimate goal of doing the TransAmerica Trail when I retire.
Very much a Novice and a friend turned me on to this site. Looking to learn and hopefully meet some locals I can bounce ideas off and maybe make some new friends.

Welcome, from Arizona!

So I figured I would start this thread to see where everyone is located in the northern Cali area since it is such a big area!

I'll start, I'm from Vacaville.

I am up in Red Bluff (right along the I 5 corridor). I was learning & had hit a couple meetings in Redding, then covid hit & everything died out.

We're out near Auburn and was talking with @Kent R about maybe putting together a meetup out here and in Chico. Seems like we would cover a good amount of ground between those spots.
I like the idea, thinking spring

100 series is a great platform, just aftermarket parts take a bit more searching for than a Jeep, 4runner or Tacoma. Ih8mud.com is an excellent source of information. There are also a lot of groups on FB. There are a few that show up to the East Bay Overland Meets on the 2nd Sunday in Pleasanton.
