Did you sleep in your rig ?So got to test out my new stuff last night,
Teton -25 degree sleeping bag
Kovea cupid heater
Colman 1 burner stove.
Thumbs up on all of them, I used the heater while I changed into my PJ's turned it off and slept in my bag for the night, then used the heater while I dressed for the day.
Colman stove really is great, very good flame for the skillet I use. Surprised just how nice the stove is.
Mind you It probably only got down to 15 degrees or maybe a little colder. But I now have the means to disperse camp even in the winter. View attachment 142513
Yeah I have a sleeping platform that gives me about 61/2 feet off room on the passenger side of my 2 Dr Xj. I lay my seat forward and make my bed for the night. It is pretty comfortable even with just those cheap sleeping pads. I am looking forward to getting some 3" foam and cutting it to the right size for me.Did you sleep in your rig ?

Have you researched the slumber jack set up with the screen enclosure. They make a good extension to the rear of your rig and pretty cheap camping option, especially when the weather is decent.Another thing with the platform is that it is just a two piece platform that levels the whole area behind the front seats, and I just use Plano boxes for all my storage that fits under my rig. So that if my wife goes along she being 5''4" and also has plenty of room for her to sleep. I'm planning on fabricating a tray across the cargo area so that the heater can safely sit on it while our feet are under the tray. We really won't need a tent. But would like one if we're staying put for a base camp situation so that we kind of have a gazebo to hang out in.

Cant beat a Knife store with millions of knivesRealized I didn't have a pocket knife with me when we got to Gatlinburg Friday so we made an emergency stop at Smokey Mountain Knife Works and I grabbed an ESEE folder for a reasonable price. Crisis averted folks, everyone carry on about your days!

My wallet cries whenever it hears we're gonna stop in there. I had actually gone in for an ESEE 4 of some variety but upon realizing that I didn't have a folder in my pocket AND them being out of stock on the leather sheath for the 4, I just picked this up and decided to hold off on a 4 for the time being. There are a few different varieties of the 4 that I wasn't aware of (the round handle "bushcraft" style for instance) so I've got some more looking to do before I make a final decision.Cant beat a Knife store with millions of knivesmy head almost exploded the 1st time I walked in!

How often do you actually use your knife ? I have carried one in my pocket most all my life and I can't think of more than two or three times I have used it for anything except cleaning my finger nails. I cant say the same about my bolo knife though. My wallet cries whenever it hears we're gonna stop in there. Probably daily for some reason. I used it to open some stuff around the cabin this weekend and used it as soon as I got home to clip the tape on some boxes when I walked in the house. I feel naked without a knife and flashlight on my person at all times. My multi-tool has also become a full time thing. I've carried one for years and rarely leave home without it.How often do you actually use your knife ? Do you use the little pencil flash light ? If I have to carry anything in my hands I feel burdened. I guess I'm not out in the dark that much. I'm the same about something hanging off my belt, I don't like it. Not even a cell phone. I'm a pocket man, if it's to big for my pocket I don't carry anything. Out on the trail is different though. I've even got the buddy we were traveling with this weekend carrying a flash light full time just because when you need one, there's nothing else you can make do with reasonably...

I bought a 2017 Manley ORV yesterday from a fellow member in Connecticut. The next thing I'm going to buy is an awning. Now I need to figure out telescoping awning mounts so I can travel with it in the low position but raise it to 6ft when I arrive at my destination.View attachment 142623
