What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

I made a custom adapter to display my external rear camera that’s mounted on my tire carrier to the in dash display. Since the tire carrier now blocked the factory backup camera in the tailgate handle, I went with an external camera. And my tailgate is all electric with no way to unlock with a key (Smart thinking Ford). So after a bit of research, ordered the correct molex connectors from Amazon and created this y adapter. It works perfectly and only cost about $25 in materials.

very nice rig! can you test it out at the spillway? I drive over it ever so often but never saw if there were any muddy dirt roads there or if its just total swamp.

I moved away from the sPod BantamX because I was frustrated with the bluetooth only working when it wanted to and installed a dual Garmin Powerswitch with a custom cover...
Went from 8 circuits to 12.

I hadn’t heard of the Garmin powerswitch before, looked it up after your post and I’m really liking it with being able to run from Apple carplay on the head unit! Thanks for the post brother!

Once you get it wired up it's super easy to pair it with your phone or other device, and the bluetooth actually works. I also have a Garmin Tread XL in the truck so they are paired to that as well.

The saga continues...
Decided to upgrade my headlights from my previous "upgrade" and ordered a set of Morimoto XB Hybrid lights. Turns out they won't fit with the Genesis system installed. So one thing led to another and I removed the Genesis system and installed a single Odyssey battery and rewired all the things.

I finally got the Southern Style Offroad Stage 2 High Clearance kit that I bought before Hurricane Ida threw a wrench in my plans installed today. I was going to install the ARE differential breather that was bought then as well, but it's in a box somewhere and I couldn't find it.

I'm still needing to fine tune the trimming of inner fender and whatnot but so far so good. I love how it looks.20260102_141353.jpg20260102_141417.jpg

I'm knee deep in repairing an RV slide for a guy that thinks that water leaks can go on for a year and its ok to not think it needs to be repaired. Then he said something that gave me pause....He put a 2x4 on the roof edge and said that he thought it would stop the water.....just sitting there....Now he isn't happy at the cost...I have wanted a gantry crane for a long time so....

This doesn't even qualify for the "Here's your sign" redneck joke...What pithy comments would you say to him?
