What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Installed my ham radio. Main unit is under the passenger seat, external speaker run up to the roll bar between driver and passenger seat (Jeep JK), and the faceplate is remote mounted just in front of the shifter. Very happy with the result! I’ll snap some pictures later today.

New battery last Friday.

New wheels and tires on Saturday.

Just finished installing a new alternator and accessory drive belts this evening. Voltage regulator was on its way out so I just picked up a whole new unit. No pics but works like it should.

Had to trouble shoot my SPOD knockoff. Turns out that the guy who put it together couldn't figure out how to wire up rockers in parallel... Needless to say its good to go and I now have a functioning 6 switchs :)

Busy weekend, but got the Prinsu TopRac on, got the dust light wired, and the CB mounted/antennaed.

Do you keep the rotopax on on top all the time? Have you had any problem with the the heat expansion?

No and not that I've noticed. I only filled it once actually and used it that same weekend. Is that a known issue?

I haven't strapped mine up top yet, but I filled mine for a 4 day trip and stored it in a trailer. I used it on the last day before a 10 hour drive and when we got back (after being in a trailer all day) it was pretty bloated. From what I've seen online, the expansion in the heat is a normal thing but I don't know if there are any negative long-term side affects.

Sweet ride BTW, I like that black box you have on top too.

You should let the pressure out from time to time especially if under direct sun for long periods of time.

Today was a good day. Went for a weekend ride through Blackwater State Forest with the family. Got home, replaced the front passenger window regulator, replaced factory fog lights with direct factory replacements (not sure why ‍♂️), and then cleaned it up. Not a bad Father’s Day at all......
