My free time comes in fits and spurts. Today, I finally got to change my oil that has been overdue by about 2500 miles... Maybe next week I'll finally install the dorkel.

Haven't had some good bumper time in a wee bit. Welded in end cap to arm. Drilled, tapped, and installed over center latch onto arm. Mocked up latch anchor point with rub strip then welded. Not pictured is the anchor point end shape with chamfered edges and softened corners. High amounts of corrosion thanks to upstairs renters ... housekeeping ... habits.
Where do you get your builder parts? The Latch and Hinge.

Installed this here AEV tire carrier. The install was okay, but the adjustments drove me nuts lol.

Latch came from McMaster Carr
Hinge, shackle points, and spare tire mount plate (not pictured here but elsewhere) came from Comp 4x4
Hitch receiver came from local welding supplier.

Looks good! Just be happy it wasn't the one with the water tanks, I hear that one is a big PITA.....

I really like the AEV gear, But I can't afford them, I do have somethings like procal, but i am on a tight budget....
I had to use my hilift, maxtrax, and shovel to get a JEEP off the beach. I did this after I drove my TOYOTA around it a few times laughing.
Taxes filed!! Whole buttload of parts getting ordered, front bumper, winch, spare relocater, new rear brake kit just to name a few...
Now I can show my wife I am NOT THE ONLY ONE, that thinks like that!!!!

the driver even said, it would be a bad add for Jeep right now. he was to his belly pan deep. it took a lot of digging, tugging, and swearing. His wife said next time he wants to drive on the beach she wants to be dropped off at the bar. poor girl.did you go woo woo woo too! Pics or it was a lye !!!
Looks like you went up past Warm Springs Camp. Did you go over Goper Wash. How was the road.

I am very fortunate to be in a position where I can build the rig of my dreams, so I am grateful for that. I always try to buy the best quality I can to avoid things from going wrong in the field, but nothing is bullet proof.

Installed the hitchgate and had the rear leaf springs re-arched and a leaf added. Rides great and there is a lot more room in the back for more toys!

I'm assuming you mean Goler Wash? Goler was in perfect condition. It was probably in the best condition I've seen it, honestly. Mengal pass was chewed up a bit.
