We have HEAT ☀️

It’s been amazing! No issues with it at all! It’s made winter camping so much more enjoyable for the kids!
I’m glad to hear that do you have any pictures of your set up? How do you get the tubing into the tent? Do you have ducting that’s durable you found?

I bought this ducting off Amazon, there have been complaints it puts off an odor. I’ve never noticed it. I have a sunroof on my tent so I pull it through the side window and uses a carabiner and some rope to suspend it from the middle of the tent off the zipper loops for my sunroof.

I’ve been eyeing this and thinking about using it in the window instead as the ducting does get pretty warm.

I’ve seen those, I’m interested in hearing how they work or if it doesn’t make much of a difference

When making the connection to the cigarette plug (in my case), is it just red to red and black to black?
a cigarette plug is NOT recommended...
some of the heaters can draw close to 15 amps on start up and that exceeds the 10 amp rating for most sockets. depending on what you are running it in, you might have a fuse block you can wire into with a 15 amp fuse. if worse comes to worse, just get a small 35ah battery and wire directly to that. 35ah should last you all night depending on the fan speed youre running

if you decide to try it, just make sure and check the wire and plug connections for excess heat ever so often...it could get hot enough to melt the plastic plug. did that a while back running a tool

i also see you just joined today

Exactly this. Chinese diesel heaters will throw a low voltage error trying to pull startup watts from cigarette lighter. Their wires are also usually too thin and too long, causing voltage drop. Cut wires to min needed length and it helps a lot.

Hi guys, I bought a Velpax Diesel Heater box from Amazon and startet to modify it a little bit. Today I‘ve changed the Diesel pump with a quieter one that I also found at Amazon. I have assembled the connection cable with Anderson plug that will be connected to my 100 Ah LiFePo, situated behind the passenger seat. Hope everything works well.

That one looks really neat and tidy. Plus looks very compact. What are the dimensions?

Thanks. So, nearly base dimensions of a 30x40 eurobox. That's pretty cool.
