We are driving around the world. Right now.

Was curious about that and have only watched that one video and one in the Rockies, so I have no idea what lead up to the IG being shuttered in the first place. I'd like to know that, too, if they didn't already say. I don't use it but it would be good to know in case I ever do, know what NOT to do to get shut down
For some reason Meta is just shuttering IG accounts. There are a bunch of creators on YouTube talking about how they all got locked out of their accounts. Lizard boy is at it full tilt lately.

If you've been following this thread, you know that we intend on overlanding the world visiting all 6 habitable continents on our journey. When we got to southern Brazil, we fell in love and almost didn't leave, and I'm not kidding.

If you need to be convinced to overland internationally, or visit southern Brazil, take a few minutes and watch this. This place is incredible.

We all get one life, make the most of it!

As always, if you have any questions about our journey, please don't hesitate to ask! ~ Eric

I've been all over southern Brasil. Your stops were great stops! I know you don't have all the time in the world but since you are not necessarily city or town- averse, you may want to check out Florianopolis on your next visit. Capital city of Santa Catarina state, and 42 beaches there just in that city. Just as the Germans migrated to Brasil since the 1800's, so had the Italians, so check out Nova Veneza and Thermos de Gravatal (thermal springs there), Farol de Santa Marta, the beach and cliffs or Torres (actually in Rio Grande do Sul). Serra do Rio do Rastro, passing through Tubarao (beach town) and Lauro Muller (another German-heavy town). The road up Serra do Rio do Rastro is one of those dirt, switchback types but there is (was?) a restaurant about halfway up with a view to a small but tall waterfall.

I did also get up north into the Amazon to a little dot on the map called Manaus. I was on business at that time so I didn't see a lot of sites in Manaus but the airport with the 1950's (?) plane crashed off to the side of the runway, with a tree growing up through it was kinda cool to see

Food for thought for the next time.

Watching the latest video on the tube right now. Any luck getting the IG back? that sucks. It's not like you can keep all the images on a backup or something. Space is very limited in Dauntless. Maybe moving forward use some sort of cloud storage so you keep your memories safe.
Hey! Yes we did get our IG back. Then they took it down again. Then they reviewed it again. Then we got it back again. It's been a roller coaster, but they've fully reviewed our account and seen that we never violated any terms of service. But it took a human to review it and that was a hassle getting in touch with one. Bottom line. We have zero advice to give because we didn't do anything wrong. We worked hard to get in touch with a human, we did, the reviewed it and restored it! ~ Eric

Hey Andrew, so we didn't do anything to get it shuttered. We have no idea why it happened. It is all bots that review everything and make those calls. It's really frustrating. The only solution is to try and get a hold of a human for review and that is no easy task. ~ Eric

Awesome. The other people I have known about could not get in touch with a human. I am glad you did. Now that you did, any photos that you don't have access to otherwise, save pronto!

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like "customer service" with T-Mobile or Iceland's PLAY Airline. Best of luck with it

We drove to where GIRAFFE LIVE! What the what?! Ok, we knew that at some point we'd see famous African animals on this journey, but when it happened words fail. I hope you take a moment to experience this with us, and maybe that it inspires you to go further than you've ever been before! Here for the questions! ~ Eric
