Anyone using Garmin GLO and iPad with OnX?

I already have 2 iPads , 1 is a gen 6 mini which would be great in my Jeep [2005 LJ with no fancy touch screens]. They are both wifi only and I have had good results with OnX, but I want a bigger screen.
I have looked and I can get the Garmin GLO 2 for about $120, I don't love that it's an extra device to manage, mount , and keep charged, but the other solution seems to be sell and replace the iPad which will cost a lot more.
Anyone have experience with this or a similar setup?

I use an iPad with the GLO, works great but the GLO is very heat sensitive so you need to put a sun deflector above it if its in direct sunlight.

As for OnX, I use four different navigation tools and they all work with this system.
