US West Tri-Valley Meet Up at Hollister Hills CA OHV Park

Finally a group headed to my "backyard". Unfortunately the WJ is down hard for repairs/mods, with at least another weekend or two of wrenching. I'll watch this event, perhaps I will be able to take a break from the WJ, dust off the Tahoe, and come say hello Saturday afternoon. Should there be a mishap, I am local, have a car trailer, and can temporarily store a vehicle for an OB member.

Hollister Hills this Saturday! 10am March 7th

We will meet at the Obstacle course campground, agenda is as follows:

Meet and greet
Recovery basics
Winch demonstration and best practices
Recovery boards
Discuss off road driving and choosing lines etc

Lunch- discuss spring and summer trip planning

Break into smaller groups and hit the trails till the cows come home

Come camp if you can!

I am going to try and make this I wanna take my rig on the trails and learn more things if possible. Its gonna be fun this is my biggest rig yet

Sorry to miss, getting back from Denver late Saturday evening. Not seeing what's next on the calendar for April. Or is it just me!

Regarding April, the second Sunday is Easter so I am considering moving the meeting to the second Saturday for just April. Thoughts?
 
I will be there first meet up and cant wait. I've done some trails before but this will be the first time in a group setting, and i will be driving my Ram 2500, hoping its not to tight of a squeeze on the trails.

I'll probably be camping too.....boy, the app is showing the messages funny....typed a long message about where to meet since I couldn't see some of the above comments...then couldn't delete my post, so lets try to edit it so I don't ask questions that were already answered! But I do have a question on the meet location 'Upper Ranch Campground' - not sure if I'm missing a campground in Upper Ranch, but I only see 'Obstacle course campground' and 'Sycamore Campground'.....Seems like probably the Obstacle course campground is best place to meet? Or is there a different one? (as a side note, I think Sycamore is a nicer place to camp for those coming in Friday night).

Anyways, see you guys Saturday.
