My family and I are certainly outdoor enthusiasts and I'm thrilled that my oldest daughter has taken up a love of overlanding! @19 years old and in college she's not quite ready for her own rig yet. In the meantime I started her training as my nav/copilot this weekend up at Windrock Park in TN. She did a great job! I'm preparing her for our first trip to run the big name trails of Colorado in July. What kind of subjects and basics would any of you recommend I teach her?

My daughter has her eye on the Geko Green Rubicon. I came from driving jeeps but I'm a 4Runner guy now. But alas, Jeep never leaves your blood!

Basic CPR & First Aid!!!
Contact your local Fire dept for free CPR classes (usually). I’m not sure if the first aid classes are free. If she likes those classes, a Wilderness First Aid class.

As a former cardiac RN, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard how somebody’s life was saved by a relative (& on occasion strangers) who held a Basic CPR Certificate.
