So I've been thinking right,
With lots of people doing expedition trailers what is your preferred hitch?

Now Hitches if fitted correctly should also be a good anchor points for other things like recovery

So what do you use?

Standard Ball hitch?
Ball and Pin hitch?
"NATO" Hitch or sometimes known as a Bradley Hitch ect

Personally I use a Ball and Pin so I have the pin for my break away cable
As I've got a typical land rover multi height Dixon bate style drop plate I also have a NATO Hitch for when I need it (or to tow a Sanky)

I've been using a similar setup for a while now. I had to get a Dixon bate style drop plate made up when I did the suspension lift. The swan neck ball hitch didn't reach low enough for more road orientated trailers. At the same time I was given a NATO hitch and that lives there most of the time. Although I've never needed to tow with it, it has protected the rest of the back of the Cruiser from impacts from other vehicles on couple of occasions now.
