How open is this to kiddos?
Not very kid friendly at all. The last one was very hard work and in some dangerous locations.

My wife and I really want to help out with the restoration of this area
We were planning a trip up to Shasta area for this long weekend

But getting Cow Mountain re-opened and available for everybody is way more important to us.

Just want to get some info on the camping options During the meet-up

I know everybody’s busy with Overland Expo West

But would love to get a little more info

Would it be problematic for me to arrive at the campground after midnight early Sunday morning? I would be coming straight from a wedding in Napa Saturday night, but would love to help out on Sunday.

That's too bad. We would love to come along to help but can't if it is not kid friendly. Thanks to all who are able to go and help out!
Ill add the kid friendly aspect to my Trail Guardian questions so people can figure out what is good for their situation.

Thank you! That would be awesome. We definitely want to instill good stewardship for our land with our daughter. Being able to do so with awesome people would be a huge plus.

I second this. My family is always out adventuring and the kids love it. We would have made it up if it was kid friendly. Maybe next time?

I third this. I'm a newbie to Overland Bound, so I haven't rooted around too much. If it doesn't already exist, it would be great to create an OB NorCal group for family friendly outings. I'll be in Burney Sunday - Wednesday, but I might be able to pull off a Saturday diversion to Cow Mountain. . .

I would need to clarify, This is a BLM event we are just helping with. This event that is not very kid friendly due to the amount of vehicles and terrain. Currently all Overland Bound Trail Guardian trips are family friendly.

There will be many Trail guardian events this summer for instance the Sierra Foothills Overlanders conducts several cleanups on their adopted trail in the El Dorado NF and all OB members and families are welcome.

Thank you so much for the clarification! I am still very new to the group and didn't realize this was an event organized by another group that Overland Bound was just helping out with. I will definitely be keeping my eyes out for Overland Bound specific events coming up.
