Hey, nice video on that trail. Was that 4W319 you ran all the way from 3500 into Liberty campground? I might be up in that area later this summer and was thinking about running it that direction (east to west), most of the write ups on it I've seen are people running it the other direction.

Thanks.

Coming from the Hole in the Rock trail (many road to get to FS3507), we past the the 4W319 crossing on FS3507. We turn before FS3500 onto FS3507-111, 4W336, 4W318, 4W329, back on 4W318, 4W320, and then onto 4W319. This route added a lot more wheeling. Most of 4W319 between FS3507 and FS9726 is easier going. The mud holes and a steep hill climb is at the last section of the trail (near Liberty Campground) between FS9726 and FS9726-115.

If you start 4W319 from FS3500 on Table Mountain and run down to FS3507, there is a really steep section that had caused a lot of damage to rigs. The by-pass is loose rocks on a steep hill with a sharp turn on the bottom. We do not do that section anymore.

Thanks.

Thanks for the info. That section of 4w319 between 3500 and 3507 is was I was curious about. I'll map it out with the other trails you just listed, you don't happen to have a gps track of your route?

Thanks.

I did not track it this time, but I do have tracks from 2022. It has the added part up to Lion Rock where normally camp.

Anyone looking to get out into the Blues there is still a decent amount of snow in the shaded areas and north slopes. A friend rented the Godman Guard Station for the weekend and I ran up to stay Saturday night. Skyline road coming from the north to Godman is open and you can make it about 6-7 miles past before you start hitting drifts that block the road. A lot of the side roads off of Skyline are still blocked with drifts but things are melting pretty fast up there so should be open in a few weeks. Time to plan a run!
Thanks for the update. That's good to know. It sounds like things are opening up, but it's still a little early for some of the higher and shaded areas. Hopefully another couple of weeks of warm weather will clear out the remaining drifts.
