Managed to convince a friend to use one of his vacation days to go out and do one of the various routes we’ve found in Southern OH. Only got about half of it done but we had an absolute blast (though it was muddier than we anticipated) 
My rock sliders have a solid half inch of mud on them. Washing the X tomorrow is going to be a blast [emoji849]

Thanks! It’s been fun!
Got my last Christmas present in the mail today so I went ahead and threw them on. There wasn’t any definitive proof if these mounts worked with the hood strut mod, but they do for the most part so I’m very pleased

They’re Rago mounts. Kind of a pain to install honestly but I like the placement of them vs others

No, I got to leave that in place thankfully. I had to unbolt the top of fenders and pull them away so I could get to the bolts for the hood mount and these bolted on top. Only took about an hour but doing it in the cold was annoying

I like the mounts and think I can make something similar for my LRD2 if I can't buy them somewhere.

I got a little curious tonight and decided to get a baseline for my lights since I plan of working on upgrading them in the future (HID retrofit and led roof lights). Honestly I was a little surprised at how useless some were.

Great job on your build so far!!! One company to consider for a winch bumper is Coastal Offroad. They have DIY weld yourself kits and mine came out to about $650 shipped with a skid plate (for my '14 Frontier). I got my used Lincoln Electric MIG welder off craiglist for $300. Spent time practicing my welds on scrap steel (free on craigslist) till they looked and felt solid. The bumper kit comes with great instructions and is fairly simple to put together. Still ended up costing me less then buying any other winch bumper online. I also used rattle can bedliner paint and its been about a year with plenty of offroad time pulling myself and other vehicles out and everything has held up solidly.
This way you get to learn a new skill if you don't have it already and you get a welder in the process.

My '14 Frontier was an east coast vehicle and at 55k miles, my upper controls arms came out easily but I had to cut and grind my lowers out cause they were rusted shut. I feel your pain with that process.

Been really bored as of late so I decided to build a few parts based on things I had seen on the forums and Facebook groups.
I originally said I wasn’t going to put a bunch of lights all over this thing but I figured some rear ditch lights wouldn’t be a bad thing to have. The bumper lights provide good light when backing up but since they’re so low they cover a lot of ground. My goal was to have enough clearance so that it didn’t cause any clearance issues with my RTT and it’s actually sits lower than I thought it would.
This was the one I saw on FB but since I’m not a fan of light bars I chose pods.
Also, I haven’t been able to decide what direction I want to take my drawer system and since I decided to put off buying a fridge for a little bit longer it wasn’t a real pressing issue. I managed to find a thread about using a Harbor Freight hitch carrier as a rear storage rack and figured it would make an adequate option for the time being. Overall I’m quite happy with it though.
And it gives me the option to use the storage tub in the floor to put some of my recovery gear

I always had a fear of parking in the street especially if it was a through traffic street. Back in 1950 I lost my 1938 Ford coupe because a woman had her baby in the front seat of her car (no child seat laws then) laying down, the baby rolled over and fell to the floor. She grabbed for the baby and her car swerved into my street parked car. She tore the whole left side off my car. She Didn't call the police and never paid me for my car. I was just 15 and didn't know how to get her to pay me.

Yeah, it’s less than ideal. Found its replacement though if it does get totaled out.
I’ve lived here for three years and for the first two years there were no issues. But now two cars have been totaled out front
