So I'm still running my stock suspension on my 2019 Tacoma Off Road. Hopefully one day soon I'd like to get the Bilstein 6112 Strut & Spring Assembly + Rear B8 5100 Shock set from Shocks Surplus.
The Bilstein 6112 shock & spring combo (+1.5" lift)

My question is if I get that set, will the Tacoma's stock control arms be good enough for it or will I need to upgrade?

My experiences with most vehicles can handle 1.5"-2" fine with stock control arms. It will be a steeper angle on the arms so you may feel it ride a bit rougher and you may have a little extra wear on parts like ball joints that will be riding at a slightly different angle. but all in all should be fine.

I picked mine up about 1.5. The stock upper arm was fine. I went with the icon kit but you will really like the Bilstein. The stock shocks sucked. Make sure you get it aligned. It moved my camber and toe.

If your planning on moving your tire forward to clear 33's. Get an adjustable upper arm. You can then move the top a bit forward to keep your alignment close to stock.
