Hi everyone new to the group and I am happy I joined. I am from Richmond VA looking to build my 99 taco into a weekend-camper. Right now I am working on getting the truck into a reliable state and not worrying about if something will break on it.

Keep 'er stock and don't overload it.
Weight creates stress, especially when you exceed the designed capability.
And most mods also add stress to anything left stock.
Old Tacomas are a favourite of mine.
Actually old anything.
