Truck is finally for sale!
If seriously interested PLEASE READ ALL before sending a message. I will be happy to provide more information and pictures. 2001 Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad double cab short bed 4x4 for sale. I have owned the truck for just over 4 years and over that time built it into an expedition style rig. I have replaced a lot and did a lot of maintenance in the past 4 years to include new brake and power steering lines, all brakes, both rear wheel bearings/axle seals, alternator, valve cover gaskets, water pump, pulleys, all belts, fuel filter, engine fan and clutch, all fluids replaced with synthetic (oil + filter changed every 5000 with Mobil 1), and even a re-manufactured engine at 145,000 miles with the paperwork from a reputable shop that did the install. I am selling because I recently bought a 2.5 gen Tacoma and can't justify keeping two trucks right now.
Some modifications include Bilstein shocks all around, Eibach 620 lbs coilsprings, Allpro Offroad Expedition leafsprings, Camburg Uniball UCAs, Allpro Offroad front and rear bumpers, custom fabricated full length roofracks, custom fabricated engine and transmission skidplates, 4xinnovations rock sliders, Low Range Offroad gas tank skid plate, CBI frame reinforcement plates, Bushwacker Cutout fender flares, Toyota Bedliner, Husky Floor liners, ARE Z series with fabric headliner, Superwinch LP8500 winch, 4crawler 1 inch body lift, 33x12.50 Goodyear Wrangler MTRs with Kevlar and 33x10.50 BFgoodrich Mud Terrain spare tire.
The truck does have a few issues currently that are mostly shown in the pictures but include the driver side valve cover has a hairline crack that leaks a small amount of oil, there are a fair amount of chips/scratches in the paint, the clearcoat is messed up by the driver side tail light, there is a slight whine when in D and R that just recently showed up (could be the torque converter but it shifts and has no slipping in the transmission at all), some interior blemishes in the plastic and seat fabric especially the driver seat and the truck spent most of its life in Pennsylvania so the frame does have rust but is solid still. I know the truck is not perfect and I am being completely open about the issues and history of the truck. Other than the issues mentioned it runs and drive great. I have a clean title in hand and asking $9,750 as is.
Tons of offroad/overland gear that can also be negotiated to include rooftop tent, maxtrax, rotopax, hilift, plano storage case, etc. Also have a bedrack setup for the rooftop tent that could be put on instead of the cap.
