Stone Johnny is a USFS trail to the former location of a fire lookout

It will likely be in single digit temperatures on Saturday. I'm a bit concerned because I'll have my kids with me. What are the thoughts of the group? As this is a day trip, it would be easy to move it to the 25th. I don't want to be the wet blanket though!

January 24-26th is the snow camping weekend, so I wouldnt be able to do a day snow run, but you could still do that date for any that can’t/don‘t want to do the camping weekend.

Sorry, I forgot the snow camping event was the next weekend. Well- looks like we'll need to bundle up for Saturday! See you all in Rathdrum!

There a couple more people that are interested, is 5 a hard limit or can you take 2 more?

But it's a dry cold. Make sure you and your kids are plenty hydrated, start the night before. Cold weather and elevation makes it easy for dehydration to sneak up on you.

Will do! We grew up in Montana, so we know cold- maybe my greatest concern was tires coming off the bead in the cold at low pressures. Nah- I just had a moment of weakness! :)

When you edit the rally point there’s 2 locations to edit the allowed head count, one is the displayed amount and the other is under the send invites area. You don’t have to send invites but change that number as well and then hit send 0 invites

Wierd- I didn't see a place to modify the invites under "Edit Rally Point". I did add you as an administrator. Not sure where I'm missing it. Amateur here :)

Also I know a few of us were talking about recovery gear and compressors so

For those looking for good recovery gear, Yankum, Factor 55, Agency 9, Master pull, freedom recovery gear, are all good gear. Be leery of Amazon gear. Look for "working load limit/rating" not just max rating. Working load limit is calculated with a safety factor of three to one or more.

For compressors there's a ton out there but Thor's lightning, moorflate, and MOAB by ez flate, are all basically the same compressor. And it's what I plan to get with the auto shut off whenever I get around to it.
