Hi all. Looking at tent options, need a big footprint to fit the family. Looking at the ikamper skycamp 3.0, tuff stuff alpha and 4x4 coloroado alto elite.

Anyone have any horror stories or strong opinions on these? Just doing my due dilligence before dropping a big dollar amount on a RTT.

Thanks!!

Had the ALPHA two years now and it's done well. I sleep better in it than home in a Sleep Number bed. I do like the fresh air.

how is the cover holding up? and how has it been in wind? thanks!
Keep hard shell waxed. The first one started delaminating the clear-coat and they sent me a whole new rtt. I have the rtt slightly above the roof-line of my Tacoma so I can walk under it when open. I have a Prinsu rack on the roof now. Wind was never a factor. The new versions have more features and a better ladder too. The ALPHA is bigger than I need but the room is nice. I added some air bags to my rear shocks and it helps the roll on rough terrain and when I trailer a boat to level the ride. They also make an aluminum shell that would be nice but don't need the extra weight.
