I was going through searching old threads and I thought I had posted about my switch from the 2021 bronco sport to a 2018 jeep grand Cherokee Limited. I can’t seem to find that thread now or I’m having difficulty using the app. Three weeks after I got the jeep grand Cherokee Limited a driver not paying attention backed out of their driveway all the way across the street and into the side of my parked vehicle; due to leadtimes with supply chain issues and the body shops still being backed up from the pandemic I was unable to get the jeep repaired in a reasonable amount of time. As a content creator this limits my ability to work with suppliers and sponsors. Increasing prices on new gear and even old stock in dealers warehouses meant that in order to upgrade the Grand Cherokee Limited with basic modifications like factory skid plates factory winch mount and rack was going to cost me well over $6000. So I have traded the 2018 Jeep grand Cherokee Limited in on a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee TrailHawk which does seem to be fully optioned out. The only thing I notice it doesn’t have is the HID headlights. This is far more capable than what I really need but I actually save money with the insurance payment from the Bronco Sport dear incident, and settlement on the claim with the 2018 JGC, and canceling out warrantees and service contracts the difference in cost between the Trailhawk coming with skid plates a rack and an awning versus adding those to the other vehicle once it was repaired. So I’m now in a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk full-time on the road. I would like to have a trailer to carry some additional gear but after selling my little teardrop because it wasn’t suitable for what I wanted to do I’m not sure I can find anything in my price range.
