I'm planning a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park with an overlanding route to get home. I'm staying at Timber Creek Campground and am thinking of getting onto Ditch Road (40.373312, -105.863092) and taking it to Grand Ditch Road, then going North. The coordinates I posted show this part of the road looks like it is a hiking trail due to the dashed lines on the road map, but satellite view shows it is an actual road. Another app indicates this is private, but it shows recent foot traffic.

Has anyone been on Ditch Road road between 40.373312, -105.863092 and 40.372859, -105.881311. Is this an open road for public use? Also, I'm taking a 12ft trailer. I can see there are some tight switch backs but it looks like it should be doable; Do you know of any major issues that would prevent a small trailer from making it?

Grand Dirt Road also seems to have suffered a rock slide at 40.459733987465924, -105.85054163732671. Are there any recent road issues/obstacles I should be aware of?

For sure Ditch Rd and Grand Ditch are both hiking only. Grand Ditch is a road only for ditch maintenance vehicles. I don't think there are any overland/offroad driving trails within RMNP. Old Fall River Rd is unpaved and can have erosion ruts, but I wouldn't count that.

That changes plans significantly. Thank you so much for sharing that information, it looks like I need to come up with some different routes after all.

Thank you again for your help!
