OK, I need some reassurance from some fellow Toyota Lovers on the Black TRD Pro 17x7 wheels...

Is anyone currently running BFG KO2 in 285/70/17 on these Wheels?

Do you have any issues after airing down?

I am not referring to rub on the vehicle or anything like that - I just need some reassurance that the 7" width isn't too narrow for that tire... I know what BFGs website says... but I want some experience from you folks that may be running this same setup.

Thanks in advance!

I run BFG KO2's in both 285/75/16 on my '80 on 8" wide steel wheels, and 275/70/18 on 8" wide steel wheels on my 100.

Never had any problem or concern airing down to 18 psi on the '80, and I'm very heavy in the back.
I do air back up if I'm planning to travel on tarmac for more than a few minutes and above 40 mph.
More for safety than to protect the tire I think. Handling gets a little wonky :grimacing:.

I really like that BFG KO2! Tough sidewall, good traction, very little road noise.

FWIW, YMMV.

Dan.
