Never figured myself for the guy who spends $300 on a 12V battery, but I’m at the point I need one that can do what I need it to do...and not blow a lung trying to lift it...lol
My Son, who lives in a Solar/off grid place in Northern Idaho, found a local DARPA manufacturing Co. up near Rexburg Idaho that occasionally sells Solar Panels, LiFePO4 batteries and components to the public, once they finish a production run on the equipment they build for Uncle Sam. They apparently just finished such a run. He was able to buy 4 sets of 4 cells for about $1200. He likes the 230 Amp Hour-matched/balanced... they are using. My learning curve is still quite steep on all this but YouTube is catching me up. He claims that with minimal effort, these cells should last at least 10 or so years. That would be a vast improvement over any of the deep cycle batteries I’ve owned over the years for trucks, boats, etc.
My Son upgraded his Tiny Home system to 24V, so is also bringing me a 12v x 400Watt inverter, a BMS hardware and 230Watt Panels he bought for me this past July. All in all a great deal and much less $$ than it could have been for a Solar set up. I’m looking forward to getting it all installed on my trailer.
