is it a bad idea to just weld the diff on this thing? I’m thinking about doing it. Not my daily driver but I do drive it quite a bit.
Lincoln lockers are never recommended for street use, and very seldom recommended for off-road use.

Seems like it would be better off-road. This thing is one tire fire right now.
Since it’s only a 2wd I’m planning on putting at least mid travel suspension maybe even long travel + maybe at least 37” maybe even 39” tires in the future so I can go over everything full speed. This thing isn’t gonna crawl up anything I’m assuming.
And I’m not buying a 600 dollar locker anytime soon. I can get the diff welded for 80 bucks from a local off-road shop.

Fenders look great! Don't weld the diff, that's fine for off road only but you'll snap an axle shaft with those large tires driving around corners. Plus wearing out tires even faster!

Overlanding a Navigator isn't as hard as navigating an Overlander...

Then how much is a new rear end and axles? Because that’s exactly what you will break

Thanks man I appreciate it! First time cutting fenders and I just winged it, eyeball cut then smashed it all up with a sledge hammer sealed up pretty good. Came out better than I expected honestly haha. And yeah sounds like a welded diff is a bad idea hahaha
