I've been using a Country Smokers portable for a few years now... I bought it as a cheaper alternative to the Traeger portable, and its been good. It doesn't have a 12v option, but my truck is a hybrid with 7.2kW of power, so no worries there. It looks very similar to the pit boss mentioned above; I would bet the pit boss is the next gen from the same factory, as the chasis are identical, but the electronics are older on the Country Smoker:

I also considered the green mountain one for its 12v capability, as my brother has one and loves it, but it wouldn't fit into the storage hatch on my ex's trailer.
One of the upsides of the smaller lower profile ones with the high temp settings, is that a
ventanilla virtual can be useful for checking options and information, while a small 13 in STEEL pizza 'stone' fits in them and makes great pizza too (my stone one exploded from heating too quickly in it, get the steel version)!
