I think I might start planning an Overland Expo North (Canada). So far, I have one entry (me). But I could see the numbers grow. Anyone from the South be interested in coming up North? Don't worry, our Igloos would be gone and our mud huts up. We have great beer, trails, rivers, beer, mountains, forests, beer, wildlife, did I mention we have great beer. I think I'll start a new thread. This could be fun.

Anyone know if this is actually a good place to buy gear for the rig, I am in the process of building a 2013 4Runner, are the prices really good and worth waiting for?

its hit and miss, my buddy got an rv-4 oztent for $550, which is a good deal. but the odds of them having vehicle specific options are a gamble. that being said, most vendors will be willing to haul your gear and meet u there so u can save shipping. The experience and face to face with vendors that u order from online is priceless IMHO

I've been looking at maps, Google, there's some good stuff around there. I'm intrigued by lookout towers [emoji328] , don't know the level of difficulty, I was thinking a pre-run on Friday might be good. [emoji12]

Hah! If I had more time, Mojave road west to east would be my choice. Some river gets in the way though. Fording practice anyone?

Ya I was up in the air on how much time to take off. I'm thinking of taking seven days off . Now it's just a matter of which part of the week

Ooops, I just checked, that pizza hut is off of Barstow Road which is also hwy 247.
