I currently have an OVS 270+ awning mounted on a rhino rack platform. I am really happy with it. I am looking to convert my set up to a permanently mounted Alucab gen 3 tent (elininate rack for low profile) but id like to continue to use my OVS awning. The hole patterns are much different. 1.9" vs 4.5"
Question's:
1. Has anyone else used other brand awnings with their alucab products/tent campers etc? how did you adapt it?
2. Are there other brackets on the market? I cannot find any.
3. Could I just make an adapter plate for the shadow awn brackets? potential pitfalls? failure point? too much moment?
Seems like everyone goes with their awning which i could do, but i prefer the square foot of the OVS and the ability to guy out the middle for rain pooling. Plus selling mine used and buying a new one will cost me another $1k net probably.
