Maybe I'm the only one but I find it hilarious to see folks clamber to get to a expo full of "elitists" after continuously talking trash about folks who have all the expensive stuff on their rigs.

Howdy, locals!
Some of you may know me from the Rebuilding of Stomper jeep story. Over the last few years we moved away from rock crawling to overlanding.
We spent 1.5 years car camping mostly at state parks followed by another 1.5 with an overlanding trailer towed by our Ranger, hitting dispersed camping sites all over the U.S..
A couple of early trips showed us we needed more space in our rig than my jeep had.
Fast forward to today...
I'm building up a rig out of a 2019 Ranger FX4 . I'll create a build thread soon!
Looking forward to meeting up and possibly planning some trips very soon!

You will find there are a lot of us here who want to get together but never make it happen including myself. If you guys follow this thread, I promise we will get more involved with creating events and content. I'm just getting my feet back on the ground here in okc.

Hey Everyone not been on much but finally graduated from college so hope to be more present now. Rendezvous at the Bonfire is April 25 in Arkansas at Byrds Adventure Center put on by Natural State Overland. It's a great event and lots of Okies attend since its so close. Something to keep in mind.

congrats!!
anyone planning on attending any of the events listed? bonfire? all overland meet and greet? big iron? rendezvous? there's a lot coming up. i am debating bonfire, all overland meet, and rendezvous at the moment, but if anyone else is headed that way it may sway me more in that direction.
and a side not... put our snorkel on yesterday!

I plan on going to Bonfire this weekend looking forward to meeting up with old friends and making new ones as always. Not going to make Big Iron and the All Over Overland was a good event and plan on going back to it.
