Oklahoma overlanders where ya at?

We just got back from Wilburton this weekend with Okie Rebel Jeeps. Our stock JK did amazingly well, considering the terrain. We had a BLAST and will definitely go back and do it again this fall!

Gruber has some tight trails, some of them require some real maneuvering but a lot of fun. I've not been down behind the OGE plant, but I hear there is some mudding down there too. Thinking after we invest in our tent, we are going to try to wheel around and find us some local sites to set up camp. At least I know Robbers Cave trails have some really amazing spots to set up.

@TRLBLZR we definitely should meet up and go hit some trails

@OkieOverlander will update once we get to try it out. Got in on Kickstarter and got the solar cover free. Great looking product. Also use the Campstove from BioLite and love it. Will be packed for all our adventures. Hopefully we can meet up and you can see it in person also.

I look forward to it.

Saw this on MEO’s insta and fell in love with it. What’s the story behind the truck? You the original owner.

I am not the original owner. 1st owner had it 30 years, garage keep from day 1 until she sold it November 2017. 2nd owner sold it to me June 2018 , second owner put a little over 900 miles on it ,and yes garage kept also! 127,840 miles when I bought it. Lots of paper work. It’s a gem!

I’ve been a member for some time, I know there is no official group just didn’t know if anyone participated. The biggest problem with involvement in Oklahoma has always been a lack of public land.

Tread lightly has always interested me but like you said, there isn't any public lands in which for us to participate in. Central US isn't really represented at all and Oklahoma is nowhere on their website. Wonder what it would take to get that remedied.

I wonder as well, I’m going to try and contact someone this week too see what we can do.
