I am going to keep an eye on this also, it's not "close" to be but way closer than anything out west. I need to get started and would love some compatriots to join in with!

Count me in at 90%. My work schedule is goofy but I can usually swing a weekend. This a day trip, over n8ght, rustic camping?
It’s a multi night trip but I will publish the route on the day we launch....roughly we will be hitting a Offroad Park each day of the trip...you can run all or part of the route...it’s designed to be flexible...

I was at Redbird yesterday and talked to Carman Jackson the director of the property and we are going to try and get a group together to do some volunteers work in early April . Redbird is closed officially until August but with a grassroots push we may be able to get it open sooner
Do you know what day you are planning on the volunteer work at Redbird?
I wouldn't mind helping out.
Keep me updated

I have a 2 wd truck, but I’ve done a pretty fair amount of off road driving. This trip isn’t just for the 4wd crowd is it?

As some of you know I am a teacher in Jefferson County Kentucky. If you have been following the news out of Kentucky you will realize that teachers have been locked in a 3 year battle with our Governor over our pensions. Over this semester teachers have stages 6 days so far of sick outs. These sick outs have caused the school year to be extended. How is this relevant to you? Well it has caused me to have to move the dates of the inaugural running of the THOR twice already. I know many of you have planned your vacation times around this event. Because of my contractual agreement with the district I must stay in school until the last day. I regret that I will have to move the official running of the THOR to June 15-19. I realize this is a major inconvenience for many. If you would still like to run the THOR the weekend of June 8-12 I will release the route on June 7th as originally planned so that you can still keep your plans. I will be at Buzzard Roost on the 8th to meet and greet and host the first sections of the THOR from Buzzard Roost to Interlake and back. Then on Sunday I will lead the next leg of the Route to Redbird. On June 14 I will be at Buzzard Roost to lead the full trip. For those that will be able to reschedule I hope it will be worth the wait. Please understand that this situation is out of my control. I have provided to link to a news article about the situation. I appreciate the trust people have put into me for this trip and apologize once again. I can't wait to finally meet all those that have been corresponding with over the last few months.
Thanks,
Jason

Big announcement here! Bloomfield Indiana's own Hi Lift Jacks has become a sponsor of the THOR. We are stoked to have them on board. For those that are planning on attending please email me with t-shirt sizes...also they will be providing other accessories for a give away. So Monday night at the campground we have a potluck cook off and the winners will win the swag!

I'm going to be sending out more info to folks that are going to get a solid number. OB is not the only place this event has been advertised so to consolidate all the participants into one place please email me. Please include your name, phone number, t-shirt size, year make and model of your rig, preferred CB handle and hometown.

Thanks, and see you there,

95% sure I'm in, solo. Be a great way to break in my new, to me, 2008 Grand Cherokee.
RAD! Hi Lift is sponsoring the trip and will be giving out swag. What size t-shirt do you wear?... I'm putting together a list of everyone going so I can keep this thing as organized as possible...If I could get your name, phone number, email, Home town, and CB handle that would be great. I think this is going to be an amazing trip and can't wait to finally meet everyone. Just Private message me your info...

Interested as well. I live in Westfield, IN if anyone is interested in weekend trips prior to this event!
Hey Recon32, I noticed your interest in doing some weekend trips. I\'m from Auburn and also interested in getting out on the weekends. Do you have any particular places you like to go? If your interested in meeting up feel free to reach out.
John
