AWD Fest 2024 at Uwharrie National Forest provided a great off-road test for our 2024 Passport Trailsport Overland build.

I was impressed with the gearing and power compared to our 3.5"-lifted 2007 Honda Pilot, now at 315k miles. Outfitted with 265/70R18 Goodyear Duratrac RT tires and the HRG Beast Kit's 4.5" lift, the Passport has 11 inches of front skid plate clearance and even more everywhere else. While it isn’t a rock crawler, the increased clearance was noticeable, especially compared to the Honda Pilot. Throughout the entire trip, including some night wheeling to the top of Daniel for stargazing, we only touched the skid plate a handful of times.

I’m thrilled with the balanced capability the Passport offers on and off-road. It handles exceptionally well, providing a comfortable and enjoyable ride as we cruise with the windows down, blasting our favorite tunes. The AWD and torque vectoring make a huge difference, especially in wet conditions, making this the most comfortable vehicle I’ve ever driven.

Enjoy the photos, and don’t miss the first day’s video coverage of the event!
