Recent member living in North Texas. After a long run on the grid I’m transitioning off. Baby steps though, so needed transportation, bought a 89 J62 restored and V8 swap out of San Diego. Flew there sight unseen, spent the day with owner, hit the beach, then took the long way home to Texas. Eventful with a few hood up moments and some really bad spots. Knew that would happen but I’d rather ring it out up front alone than load up a group and head to vacation and discover issues then. All fixed up, packages arriving daily with bolt on crap and should look like a homeless guy living in a truck in a month or so. Anybody that is in this area or not give me a reason to push away from my life and travel. I’ll bring wood. Here’s a pic of the new family truckster ;)
