Why just the Belgians?
I never do a thing for just one group. And everybody is welcome.
One of the main reasons for me to join OB is that @Michael and @Corrie dont exclude people.
Would love to join others on their organised trips.
Didn't want to leave someone out, i'm sorry!
Just wanted to conect

Hello everyone,

I just realized that I forgot to introduce myself here so here's a copy/paste from the international section:

Hello OBers,

My name is Alex and I am from Luxembourg, western/mid Europe.
Depending on the needs I am driving different cars. A VW T4 syncro for camping tours, a Cherokee KJ for mudding and a Cherokee KL for daily drive and overlanding.
My 4x4 experience can truly be classified as novice though I learned pretty much since driving 4x4s/AWDs.

Hi Alex

Welcome ;)
I have also a VW syncro but it's a T3.
Was looking for a t4 syncro.
But my girlfriend said no, have to Mutch Cars already ;)

Hope we can see you sometime soon, in the wild ;)

Thank you.
Hoping to meet you too.
My T4 is the long version 5 cylinders petrol engine. I converted it from a pure transporter intoto a camper van. Having 2 dogs (in a dog cage) inside it has been hard job to put a bed on top.
As far as I read the T3 syncro is much more capable than the T4.

I converter mine also from pure bus to camper.
But now it sitsnin the yard waiting for a new engine (already 2 years waiting )
But some day... :)

I thought the Belgians are crazy about beer and not about champagne :tearsofjoy:

Hello! My name is Rich and I am new to Germany around Kaiserslautern area. Looking to get into overlanding in Europe and I have no idea where to start. My family and I were pretty active overlanders when we were in Alaska and Arizona and would like to see what Europe has to offer.
We have a new Toyota 4Runner as our go to rig that I would eventually modify, but for now it is good enough to what we would need along the beaten path. Hope to learn from the veterans here and meet some of you down the road. Cheers!20190607_130730.jpeg

Hello Rich,

Weolcome, and if you like I can show you around in europe a bit. Overlanding is totally different here, we need to find little gems in this part of the world.
I know my way around in the Netherlands and most of Mid Europe. Same as in Poland, and Spain.
About Morocco in Africa I can tell you a few things.

See you around

Greetings from Robert

Welcome here and thanks for your message. As Robert said, overlanding here is totally different. Nothing about the vast area and the beauty of so many different landscapes, but of course, regulation about wild camping and offroading. You will have to adapt to it and might get angry sometimes in front of all the restrictions we have, but there is always a way to enjoy great times in the wild. Hope we meet some day. Great car by the way, love it !
