Hi All,

Been lurking on here and watching youtube videos of different overland creators for awhile now. Finally deciding to get into it myself. I'm located in the Vail Valley and I have a 2011 Lincoln Navigator I plan on doing some moderate conversions to. Nothing too crazy to start out, thinking of just a simple bed frame and a couple drawers underneath to hold the essentials. Excited to post pictures of my progress. Any tips and tricks on starting a build are greatly appreciated. I'm not great at wood work by any means so I plan on copying a lot of techniques I've come across on here!

Welcome to the community Robert! My personal suggestion is to keep things simple until you figure out how and what you are using out on trail, currently my wife and i are using some plano boxes from home depot and trying to make it so that we only need one maybe 2 when we go camping so things are a bit more streamlined when we go to a removable drawer system or trailer. other than that the best advice is to just get out there. Depending on your comfort level there are a number of longer trips coming up posted on Rally point already and there are frequently trail runs on a fairly regular basis that get posted there as well. Feel free to reach out if you have anything I can assist with!

Looking forward to seeing what you do with that Navigator!

Welcome to the Outbound community. We are glad to have you join us. By the way "Nothing too crazy to start out with" That's cute. I'm sure most of us started out saying that.
