Holy trailer buggy. That thing rocks. You could put duals on a mailbox and I'd rock it. Nice choice and outstanding build.

Using plastic tube clamps to hold on an axle seems irresponsible at best. I also can’t figure out what that double heim joint looking thing is for. It looks like it fixes the axle height, but then there would be no movement of the axle.

I was really hoping those weren't what I thought they were. Irresponsible is one way to put it, I'd say just plain dumb. Don't take that thing over a curb in the parking lot, the wheel is going to fall off!

The heim looks like a sway bar connecting link.

The plastic tube clamps are for tuff industri use, so i migt say that they are not that bad.

I think the strength of the axle mounts are underestimated, I've seen 3D printed parts take significantly more abuse than I ever thought possible. As long as the right material is used I don't see these mounts becoming an issue. Are the links at the top of the control arm for sway bars or torsion bars? My first thought was torsion bars as I don't see coil springs, unless the Fox shocks are actually air springs?

Looks great, Bengt!

The Fox chocks ar air/nitrogen

Please explain how your suspension is suspended, and how it is supposed to move. I see no spring or air bag. It looks locked into position.
Fox Air shocks. Kind of like a coil over but using nitrogen and oil inside the shock body to act as a suspension and set ride height. They've been used in the off-road industry for years.
Here's a very in depth explanation of how they work: Fox Air Shox

Ahhh, gottcha. Any ideas on the little heim joint looking thing?

Hi Bengt,

Wow, this is really an impressive trailer. Great!

That Defender is also a great rig. Looks like a good suspension setup. I even see hydraulic bumpstops there.

Have fun with it! Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Cheers,
Bjoern
