My Land Rover from when I got it to date

2001 Land Rover Discovery LHD
4.0 V8
R380 5 speed Manual transmission

Here is how it was the day I bought it.

It had a blown engine when I got it.
Sold the bumper tires and roof rack to fund my repairs

I resealed the engine, all but rear main seal and replaced cooling components.

It had a slipped liner on cylinder 5 and blew the threads out of a head bolt hole.
I had to drill tap and coil the one hole, top between cylinder 5 and 7

Got new tires and was on the road again, also put Hi lift jack on hood.

Custom bumper made

And winch

Light bar and snorkel are latest additions.

This is its current configuration at this time.

Drive it everyday, hasn't let me down yet.
Will need a new motor eventually, I'll do a complete drive train overhaul when that time comes.

Lol, me and my wife both have Land rovers for our rigs. I do like Toyotas and jeeps, and all 4x4s for that matter. I have had the privilege of working with this FJ40

But never owned one.

My wife is to blame for my love for Land Rover, she wanted one so I bought one for her, and I loved it. Had to get me one at that point.

Added Rock lights today, more for making repairs in the dark than night crawling, but they are cool if I say so myself.

I used these. I installed 2 in my front wheel well about 3 months ago, to test durability. They are waterproof, I have pressure washed them many times before I decided to go with these lights.
