Hello im Declan from denver colorado. I have a 2017 silverado 1500 5.3 with a 6 inch lift. I had a jeep before and ran some trails but since moving to Colorado I've been going alot more frequently but am still a beginner. I joined because im having a issue with tires rubbing and to find others in the area who like taking weekend trips to see new places and camp.

Hello hello! Emmet here from Ireland, my overland vehicle of choice is the above humble bicycle, a Raleigh Pioneer Tour, though after over 5 years of heavy use it may be coming to the end of it's life at last!

All of my major cycling journeys have been in Western Europe, though I believe I'm about to relocate to Vietnam so that may be about to change!

I've started making trading cards to celebrate and encourage more overland travel and understanding places a bit more deeply rather than just maximising # of countries travelled to. If anyone from the community is interested: Oddyssey

Hope to meet some interesting folks!

Hi Emmet,

Welcome again to Overland Bound!

I am one of the OB Ambassadors in Europe. @Polaris Overland based in the UK can point you to the nearest Local Expert to you. Please do not hesitate to contact him or me for questions regarding Overland Bound, and the App or information regarding overlanding.

Local information for any of the OB regions can also be found in the Overland Bound by region forum. Each region has its own sub-forum. Ireland, for example, belong to the region West Europe. So, this link leads to the WestEurope subforum. Feel free to introduce yourself to your local area here.

Please take a look at the Rally Points for planned events to get in touch with the community. There you can filter by region. There are plenty of meetups planned for 2026 for Europe already and more to come.

We also do a virtual campfire once a month, there are always members from many regions of Europe. This is a relaxed online talk about overlanding, trip plans, gear, everyday life and more with like-minded people. Just join us next time if you like. I am sure there are more people interested in your fantatsic trip. I will schedule the next virtual campfire soon.

If you have any other questions just ask, please. Always happy to help.

Safe travels,

Bjoern
