Good question. I went with a Tacoma because it’s capable and I can bring stuff with me. Jeep Rubicons are probably a little more capable stock than an off road model Tacoma, but either will work well. I just know a lot of Jeep owners can usually only run 1 or 2 people and if you have kids it gets tight quick. I love my Tacoma because it drives GREAT on the highway as well and if you have 5-6 hours to get to the trail then that makes a big difference.
