Welcome To Overland BoundThank you for accepting me. I am interested in overlanding but I am a complete newbie. I have a 2005 GMC Sierra 2500 HD that is a 4WD that is only used for the street. I am interested in upgrading and converting it to take off- road. For now I will be reading and listening.

"Do it now! " lol would love to, however sometime's being patient and paying thing's off then selling stuff to gather fund's $$$ is the only way to do it. but it will happen in the endWelcome to the OB Forum.

Hello aaronq, welcome to Overland Bound.Hello from Colorado!
So short story long…
Started messing around out in the Rocky Mountains back in the early 2000s after I picked up an ‘88 Pathfinder for $1000. Was a great truck, very dependable but also very under powered.
In ‘08 I sold the Pathfinder and bought an ‘03 4Runner and had many great adventures with the family in that truck.
With bad judgment at play, I sold the ‘03 in ‘18 to help fund the purchase of a new car for my wife. We all missed that truck and the fun it and adventure it brought us, so about a month ago I purchased a ’97 4Runner.
We’re excited to get back into the mountains and meet new friends!
I call it my “quarter century old, quarter million mile” tank.

I could go on but I’ll stop for now.

I know this problem, i have no rich parents, all i have i earnd with my own hands or build it self. Least 15 years now i buy Cars, Rv´s, Van´s build them up, have fun with it and sell it for more. I have made a little more money everytime to buy the next big thing. It is like a hobby for me."Do it now!
