Hello, I fairly new to Overlanding, but have been back country hiking and camping for a long time. Decided to give my knees a rest and move into my 2008 Dodge Ram Mega cab. It's much more comfortable when heading out to do landscape photography.

Rig: 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega cab 6.7L Cummins
Area: Portland, OR
Experience: off roading - minimal, unless you call driving a Army APC off road ;-). Camping/backpacking - Lots

2017 RUBICON in the works.
Novice to overlanding but I've been camping and riding dirt roads all my life. Looking to getting further off the beaten trail and hit some obstacles. Looking forward to meeting more people and plan some extended adventures.

Hi All,

Overlanding novice but we car camp a lot in remote areas, mostly moderate trails/forest roads to get to that campsite that no one goes to and backpacking trails.

-New to Northern California. Arizona backcountry we have pretty good knowledge of.

My Mistress(according to my girlfriend):
-1985 Toyota Lancruiser (FJ60) with 253K (some would say just breaking in, I keep a handful of parts in the back just in case).
-2 drawer, bed platform that is always changing configuration, who would have thought you can fit a queen size bed in an old cruiser.
-300 watts of solar on the roof with 20 Amp charge controller going to a 105 amp/hr agm battery (1200W inverter is still work in progress).
-OEM lift all around.
-Unlimited smiles per gallon with the 4 speed.

Excited to be part of the community and share our knowledge of despered campsites, trails, what we've learned through our adventures.

Hello!

Candice #9536 here from Camano Island, Wa.

Rigs include:
1997 Land Rover Range Rover that is my daily driver and adventure companion of choice.
2002 Land Rover Discovery 2 which is the other daily driver of the family, soon to be outfitted with some trail gear.
1974 f250 Highboy - which is a beast.

We mainly camp, fish, shoot and find trails.

PNW makes for a beautiful playground!

Hi All! I finally pulled the trigger on getting my OB membership! I bought my 1992 Toyota Land Cruiser nearly 5 years ago to be my hunting/fishing/family adventure vehicle, and it's been a work in progress ever since. This was two years ago from our first family camping trip as a family of 5. We've gone on many more since then, but not many great pics of the rig.

Hey Kyle, What an awesome group of explorers you have there! I remember when my boys were really young, we would do geocache hunts, that kept them interested and not board of driving.
I am looking forward to seeing more pictures of the adventures you take your family on!

Hello. Paxton Ellis here. OB#24708. I live on the Treasure Coast of Florida with my beautiful wife and 4 kids, aged 16-6. I teach and coach at an independent school in the area. During Covid 19, I was stuck at home and discovered XOverland. For many years Long Way Round/Down was my inspiration but motorbike life was not compatible with father life. Watching XO and then OB and then Jason K and countless others, I made the choice to go vehicle based exploring on 4 wheels. I spent 2 months solid researching and sourcing my vehicle. I finally decided to just start fresh with a 2020 TRD Off-road 4Runner. I will pay it off in a few years and will have solid platform to build a heavy duty Overland Rig. In the meantime, I plan to practice camping in nearby areas that will help build experience and appreciation for the outdoors in myself and family. It will start with a cheap tent and cooking system for sure. I hope to be apart of this community as I grow in the skills. Thank for reading this and God Bless.

(a bit of an older photo as it has snorkel, spotlights and antenna now)
Location: Brunswick, Victoria, Australia
Rig: 2020 Ford Ranger Raptor
Overlanding Experience Background: Experienced, used to ride in bajas back in Europe as both pilot and driver, broke a couple of CVs and diffs, drowned one engine, my favourite sound in the world is the purring of 6.5 v8 Chevy350 Diesel engine... still enjoying some good bog holes, but getting lazy and prefer a nice camp setup in a remote area.

Hello from the Great Pacific Northwest!
I have always been into camping and as a kid my Dad would take me to the top of the mountains to just see what we could see. Last year my wife and I decided we wanted to continue that love for adventure with our kids so we purchased a Toyota Tundra and started to take long drives on dirt roads. Fast forward to this year my kids have started to demand we "Go to the Mountains!" and we have been heading up until the road is blocked by snow or trees.

A little about myself.
I am from Everett Wa. I drive a 2016 Toyota Tundra Crewmax SR5 with 4x4 TRD Offroad Package (had to have room for the kids seats). As for Experience I have camped my whole life mostly to go flyfishing in Montana. This is my first truck and I previously owned a car so I usually drove on Forest service roads that were well groomed. I have already got some pinstripes on my truck and am ok with that!

I look forward to seeing the things few people see and driving the "roads" few people drive!

Heres a picture of my last trip.

Hi, I'm a new member and decided to join after watching many of the OB videos on YouTube. I bought a 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser last August which was completely stock. I'm gradually preparing the vehicle for some planned Outback trips soon. I'm looking forward to being part of this community!
