Ham/GMRS Callsign
I do not have a HAM license but plan on getting one eventually
I just built a roof rack, actual 8x4'. I am getting it powder coated next week, black matte. I am excited. With California slowly opening, I want to join a weekend rally to learn from everyone. My GX470 is stock but with AT tires, no lift, still has the 265/60/17 size tires. Looking to do some light exploring to learn what I need next on my rig. Please let me know if someone is doing weekend stuff in southern calif. Thanks in advance.

I built a rack to accommodate a RTT in my truck using steel strut. Super sturdy, and looks good too.

My 07 GX470 is pretty much stock as well, AT tires added; however I pull my off road trailer to carry the RTT and all the camping, solar, water, goodies. The car is my every day driver and I don't currently need lift, racks, Armour etc.
Just finished a 4200 mile trip and everything was perfect.
