Medano Pass in late October

Anyone know what the weather/road conditions are usually like late October?

I did this last October in my 1991 suburban and it was an excellent route. We camped on the east side and it was pretty chilly when we got up that morning to start the pass. But it warmed up to 60’s that afternoon in GSD NP. A stock 1/2 ton pickup could do the trail with a decently skilled driver.

Anyone know what the weather/road conditions are usually like late October?

I was there yesterday and asked the ranger. Said snow is possible starting early October and likely by end of October.
