Hi overlanders of the north,

A buddy of mine drowned his Defender Tdci in Iceland. He is now safely recovered in the Selfoss area. Waiting for the workshops open on monday.

Anybody here knows a good adress for this type of rig in the southwest of Iceland? Somebody recommended Bilarpjörnusta Péturs.

What is at least necessary is to check everything, oilchange, filterchanges, get the glowplugs out, turn the engine by hand, clean and dry electical parts and so on, you know all that stuff. He has all spare fiters on board as far as I know.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Bjoern

was it as bad as you thought or was luck on your side? I see that it's running, hope that your adventure continues with the minimal fuss.

Todd.

Hi Todd,

Thanks fro asking. It is not my car, it is a buddy who is in Iceland with his Defender. But, yes, the rig is fully up and running again and the adventure continues. The guys in the garage did a very good job and know how to do the job right!

Cheers, Bjoern
