• Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

I'm not sure why folks talk about Black Gap Road in Big Bend National Park like it's a raunchy trail...I found it easy, but fun. I've done harder obstacles in Hidden Falls Adventure Park.

That said, here's a short clip of "The Obstacle" that Black Gap is known for. I ran it last Friday with my 80 year old Dad as my navigator.

Yes, I am this bored. But I would rather be bored than sick, so this is the extent of my overlanding right now.

We weren’t “hotdogging”. Once we sunk, we stopped, evident but the lack of huge rooster tails of mud.

“New to me” rig. Believe it or not, it climbs like a mountain goat on dry land but the mud, it sinks like a submarine.

We are in the building/becoming familiar with each other stage of our relationship.

So far, I think it’s gonna be a long beautiful love.
