So I had this spare Yaesu FT-857D sitting around and figured I'd expand my reach and capability when mobile. Thus I started upgrading my mobile comms system. So I am adding a GPS unit to the TM-710A and installing my old 857D and hooking it to a TNC. I rather like the idea of a mobile shack that can work almost any mode, anywhere, anytime.

It started innocently enough. I built a console for a 2 meter rig. Then hey, it would be cool to hold my navigation tablet. Then, oh hey, I have this overhead space where DPS took a console out too. And I might as well use a seat organizer to hold a CB, in case anyone uses one of those.10A0B5FC-C8B6-41B7-B47C-50C7498E4A43.jpegB088BAF5-F87E-4FC3-AA61-C19F3D6275FA.jpeg434F4ADC-9567-4FD2-BD67-7CF3233D4439.jpeg0AE6482A-0E75-4CF1-814F-FBF097959F54.jpegC2D55040-D467-4140-9F7C-38227972D575.jpegF4FE3D80-61EB-4B66-8614-D912EC74BD50.jpeg

BTECH UV50X2 I've also got a pile of surplus namebrand commercial gear and a Yeasu FT90R flying around. Tucked into the side pocket of my passenger seat is a Motorola MTS2000 and then there's a handheld in my get home bag as well.
